Zeekr 007 Refresh: 900V, 784 HP, NVIDIA Thor-U, April 10 Launch

Zeekr opens pre-sales for the refreshed 007 and 007 GT on April 2, with the official launch set for April 10. The headline upgrades: a 900-volt architecture replacing the previous 800V system, the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor-U chip for autonomous driving, and a claimed 905 km of range.

Power climbs significantly. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version now produces 370 kW (496 hp), up 60 kW from the outgoing model. The dual-motor AWD setup pairs that 370 kW rear motor with a 215 kW (288 hp) front unit for a combined 585 kW (784 hp). That's a 148 hp increase over the current car's 475 kW output. Zeekr claims 0-100 km/h in 2.73 seconds for the top spec.

900V Changes the Charging Math

The jump from 800V to 900V isn't just a spec sheet flex. Higher voltage means faster charging at equivalent current, and it means the system runs cooler under sustained high-power DC input. Zeekr hasn't published exact charge curves yet, but 900V platforms from competitors like Porsche (Taycan) and Hyundai (Ioniq 5/6) have consistently delivered 10-80% times under 20 minutes.

Range tops out at 905 km on the CLTC cycle. Battery details for the refreshed version haven't been confirmed, but the current 007 uses CATL Qilin batteries in 75 kWh and 100 kWh configurations. Expect the larger pack to carry over with improved cell density.

Thor-U: The Brains

The NVIDIA DRIVE Thor-U is a step up from the Orin chip used in most current Chinese EVs. Thor delivers up to 2,000 TOPS of compute, enough to run the car's ADAS, infotainment, and parking systems on a single SoC. Zeekr hasn't detailed which ADAS features are unlocked at launch, but the hardware ceiling is substantially higher than before.

Pricing Pressure

The current 007 ranges from 209,900 to 299,900 yuan ($30,300 to $43,200). The 007 GT sits at 202,900 to 232,900 yuan. The refreshed models are expected to see increases of 5,000 to 8,000 yuan due to semiconductor and battery component cost pressures. Even with the bump, the 007 remains one of the most aggressive price-to-power ratios in the segment.

Both models share identical dimensions: 4,858 mm long (4,880 with bumpers), 1,900 mm wide, on a 2,925 mm wheelbase. Wheel options are 19-inch (245/45) and 20-inch (255/40).

The April 10 launch also brings a limited fifth-anniversary edition of the Zeekr 001 shooting brake. Pre-sales for the full 007 lineup go live April 2, eight days before the official event.
