Porsche has slotted a new middle child into the electric Cayenne lineup. The Cayenne S Electric produces 536 hp (400 kW) in standard operation, rising to 657 hp (490 kW) with Launch Control engaged. Zero to 60 mph: 3.6 seconds. Starting price: $126,300 before the $2,350 delivery fee.
That's $17,300 more than the base Cayenne Electric (435 hp, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds) and significantly less than the 1,139 hp Turbo variant arriving later in summer 2026.
The Hardware
Dual permanent-magnet synchronous motors drive all four wheels. The rear motor features direct oil cooling for sustained performance under repeated hard launches or track use. The rear inverter uses silicon-carbide semiconductors rated at 620 amps. A 113 kWh battery pack supports charging up to 400 kW, with 10-80% possible in under 16 minutes.
Porsche has fitted both a NACS connector (driver's side) and a J1772 port (passenger's side), plus a CCS adapter. Range figures haven't been confirmed yet, which is an unusual gap for a vehicle already open to order.
The optional Sport Chrono Package includes a push-to-pass function that adds 120 hp for up to 10 seconds. That temporarily puts the S at 777 hp, blurring the line between the S and whatever the standard Turbo eventually offers.
Options and Looks
Exclusive Volcano Grey Metallic trim appears on front and rear fascias. Standard 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels are fitted. Thirteen exterior colors are available. A new Interior Style Package from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur combines black leather with green accents.
The options list runs deep: Porsche Active Ride suspension, Torque Vectoring Plus, ceramic composite brakes, and the Sport Chrono Package. A fully optioned S will likely approach Turbo territory in price.
Orders are open now with deliveries expected late summer 2026. The Cayenne Electric Turbo (1,139 hp) follows shortly after, with pricing TBA.
