Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV: 900 km Range, €29,900 in Europe

Leapmotor has done something unusual for a Chinese automaker entering Europe: it priced a car that people might actually consider without doing mental gymnastics. The B10 Hybrid EV starts at €29,900, seats five, offers up to 900 km of combined range, and looks like a competent crossover rather than a rolling concept sketch.

Range Extender, Not Plug-In Hybrid

The B10 Hybrid EV pairs an electric motor with a 1.5-liter petrol generator — not a traditional PHEV powertrain but a series hybrid (range extender). The 50 kW generator feeds electricity to the motor or charges the 18.8 kWh battery. A 50-liter fuel tank handles the rest.

Pure electric range sits at 86 km on the WLTP cycle — enough for most daily commutes in European cities. Combined range stretches to 900 km, which puts it in long-distance territory without the charging anxiety that still plagues BEV adoption in markets with sparse infrastructure.

Four driving modes let the driver choose the energy strategy:

  • EV+ maximizes battery use, running pure electric as long as possible
  • EV defaults to electric with the generator as backup
  • Fuel prioritizes the generator for sustained highway cruising
  • Power+ combines both sources for maximum output

⚡ LEAP OS 4.0 and a Clean Interior

Inside, the B10 runs LEAP OS 4.0 Plus on a Qualcomm 8155 chipset — the same silicon found in vehicles costing twice as much. The 14.6-inch 2.5K central display dominates the dashboard, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available both wired and wireless.

Leapmotor claims class-leading headroom despite the crossover's 1,655 mm height. The front seats are heated and ventilated with eco leather upholstery. A 12-speaker audio system and seven airbags come standard across both trim levels — Life and Design.

Seventeen driver assistance functions round out the technology package, including one-pedal driving capability.

🔧 Dimensions and Positioning

At 4,530 mm long, 1,885 mm wide, and riding on a 2,735 mm wheelbase, the B10 slots into the C-segment crossover space that European buyers actually purchase in volume. It is longer than a VW ID.3 and narrower than a Hyundai Ioniq 5, occupying a practical middle ground.

The electric-only B10 has been available since late 2025. This hybrid variant expands the range for buyers who want electrification without committing to a charger installation.

Stellantis Distribution at Chinese Engineering Costs

The Stellantis partnership gives Leapmotor something most Chinese brands still lack in Europe: an established dealer and service network. The B10 Hybrid EV will be sold through Stellantis channels, which means actual showrooms and trained technicians rather than pop-up stores and optimistic delivery timelines.

At €29,900, Leapmotor is pricing below the Peugeot e-2008 and Opel Mokka Electric — both Stellantis products. Whether that creates internal tension or healthy competition depends on who you ask in Paris.

The B10 Hybrid EV was presented to European media in Rome from March 23-31, 2026. Order books and delivery timelines for specific markets have not been announced.
