Honda has refreshed its N-Van kei van for 2026 in Japan, adding a turbocharged flagship variant and borrowing the digital instrument cluster from the N-Box.
The headline change is the Nature Style flagship trim gaining a turbocharged 660cc three-cylinder engine producing 63 hp (64 PS), up from the naturally aspirated version's 52 hp (53 PS). That 11 hp gain won't set any records, but in a vehicle designed to carry tools and cargo through tight Japanese streets, every bit counts at highway merging speeds.
Interior First, Exterior Never
The 7-inch digital instrument cluster, borrowed from the N-Van e: and the N-Box, replaces the analog setup across the range. A two-spoke steering wheel and USB-C ports on higher trims round out the cabin updates. Base G and L trims gain an engine start/stop button and sudden acceleration suppression.
Honda Sensing ADAS remains standard. Front parking sensors are now standard across the entire lineup, and a post-collision braking system has been added.
The exterior? Unchanged. The pillarless passenger side and folding seats that define the N-Van's practicality carry over without modification. Two new colors appear: Autumn Yellow Pearl and Botanical Green Pearl on the Fun trim. The Nature Style retains its black accents and outdoor decals.
Pricing
The N-Van starts at 1,498,200 yen ($9,500) for the base G in 2WD with a manual transmission. The top-spec Turbo Fun Nature Style in 4WD with CVT reaches 2,269,300 yen ($14,400). That's a wide spread for a 660cc van, but the trim walk from basic commercial vehicle to equipped outdoor runabout justifies the range.
The N-Van has been in production since 2018, and this refresh extends its relevance without altering its fundamental character. Honda hasn't announced any plans to bring the N-Van outside Japan, where kei regulations (660cc max, 3,400 mm max length) keep it firmly planted.
