Porsche has launched the first all-electric Macan GTS: 420 kW overboost (571 PS), 955 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and up to 586 km of WLTP range from a 100 kWh battery. It's the first Macan to carry the GTS designation with an electric powertrain, and the fastest Macan short of the Turbo.
Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The 0-200 km/h sprint takes 13.3 seconds. Fast-charging peaks at 270 kW, with 10-80% possible in 21 minutes at suitable stations.
The Chassis
The rear motor measures 230 mm in diameter with a 210 mm active length, fed by a 900-amp silicon carbide pulse inverter through a 9.0:1 transmission ratio. Sports air suspension with GTS-specific tuning drops the ride height 10 mm, delivering the lowest center of gravity in the Macan range. An electronically controlled rear differential lock and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) handle torque distribution. Weight distribution: 48:52 rear-biased.
Optional rear-axle steering is available. The Sport Chrono Package with Track Mode is standard.
Design
Black-painted accents run throughout. Tinted Matrix LED headlights with contoured edges match tinted taillights. Redesigned side skirts widen toward the rear. The diffuser is more pronounced than on the Macan 4S. Standard 21-inch Macan Design wheels in Anthracite Grey, with optional 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels.
Fifteen colors are available in the configurator. Carmine Red is the GTS-typical hero color. Lugano Blue is new to the Macan lineup. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers nearly 60 additional shades through Paint to Sample.
Interior
Extended Race-Tex upholstery with smooth leather elements covers the Sports Seats, steering wheel, console, doors, and dashboard. An optional GTS Interior Package adds color-coordinated stitching (Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo, or Lugano Blue), carbon-fiber trim, matching seat belts, and GTS lettering. The digital cockpit renders the exterior color on a 3D vehicle visualization.
Porsche Electric Sport Sound (PESS) includes two exclusive GTS sound profiles. Towing capacity holds at the updated 2,500 kg. WLTP consumption: 20.6-18.5 kWh/100 km.
