zenvo

A brief history about zenvo: Zenvo Automotive is a Danish supercar manufacturer based in Praesto, on the island of Zealand. The company was founded in 2004 by Troels Vollertsen, whose name inspired the brand itself, combining the first two and last three letters of his surname. From its inception, Zenvo’s goal has been to create ultra-exclusive, hand-built supercars that blend Scandinavian design with extreme performance and engineering precision.

The company completed its first prototype in December 2008, which entered limited production as the Zenvo ST1 in 2009. Only 15 units were ever built, highlighting the car’s exclusivity. Each vehicle was meticulously handcrafted and equipped with advanced features such as keyless entry, satellite navigation, an adjustable steering wheel, and electrically adjustable leather racing seats. Powered by a twin-supercharged 6.8-liter V8 engine producing over 1,100 horsepower, the ST1 placed Zenvo firmly among the elite ranks of global hypercar manufacturers.

In 2017, Zenvo introduced the TS1, the successor to the ST1. While visually similar to its predecessor, the TS1 featured a more aerodynamic body, an upgraded suspension system, and an entirely new V8 engine developed in-house. Larger brakes, refined handling, and a completely redesigned interior elevated the driving experience. Like the ST1, the TS1 was built in extremely limited numbers—just 15 units—primarily for international clients, as Denmark’s vehicle registration taxes made local ownership prohibitively expensive.

Zenvo continued to evolve with the launch of the TSR and its track-focused variant, the TSR-S. The latter debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and captured global attention for its revolutionary “Centripetal Wing,” a dynamic rear spoiler that actively tilts during cornering to improve stability and downforce. Powered by a 5.8-liter twin-supercharged V8 producing up to 1,177 horsepower, the TSR-S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest and most advanced supercars ever built in Scandinavia.

In 2023, Zenvo announced its most ambitious project yet—the Aurora hypercar. Designed to redefine the boundaries of performance, the Aurora features a lightweight carbon monocoque chassis and a hybrid powertrain capable of exceeding 1,850 horsepower. Two variants are planned: the track-focused Aurora Agil and the grand touring-oriented Aurora Tur. This model marks Zenvo’s entry into the hybrid hypercar era, combining electrification with raw mechanical performance while maintaining the brand’s hallmark craftsmanship.

Zenvo’s growing recognition in international motorsport circles has further strengthened its reputation. The company has partnered with select racing teams to develop high-performance components and aerodynamic technologies derived from its road cars. The TSR-S has been featured at prestigious automotive events such as Goodwood Festival of Speed, where its unique engineering and dramatic performance have earned widespread acclaim.

Over the years, Zenvo has also received multiple accolades for its innovation, design, and engineering. The TSR-S won “Best Hypercar of the Year” from several European automotive publications, while the brand itself has been praised for maintaining an authentic, artisanal approach in a world dominated by mass-produced supercars.

Today, Zenvo continues to stand as a symbol of Danish precision, luxury, and performance. With a growing global presence, the company remains dedicated to crafting exclusive, low-volume supercars that push technological and artistic boundaries. Each Zenvo represents not just a machine, but a fusion of passion, engineering mastery, and the relentless pursuit of automotive perfection.
