A brief history about alpine: Alpine is a legendary French sports car brand known for its sleek designs and racing heritage. Founded in 1954 by Jean Rédélé, Alpine has always had close ties with Renault, right from the start. In fact, its first model, the Alpine A106, was built on the Renault 4CV platform and quickly made a name for itself in motorsports during the 1950s.

In 1958, Alpine introduced the A108, based on the Renault Dauphine. This model helped the brand gain mainstream recognition and paved the way for Alpine’s most iconic car—the A110. The A110 became a rally legend in the 1970s, dominating the competition and even inspiring the creation of the Lancia Stratos, the first car built specifically for rally racing.

Throughout the 1980s, Alpine continued to innovate with the A310, a sportscar featuring a rear-mounted engine. This model evolved into the Alpine GTA range, which stood out with its lightweight plastic and polyester construction. The brand was pushing boundaries in both design and performance.

The 1990s saw the arrival of some special models, including the widebody GTA Le Mans and the all-new Alpine A610. Later, Alpine developed the A710 Berlinette 2, aiming to keep its racing spirit alive.

However, in 1995, Renault decided to halt Alpine’s production, putting the brand on pause. But by 2007, rumors of a revival started swirling. Renault’s marketing chief, Patrick Blain, hinted at the return of Alpine with plans for a new lineup of sports cars. Finally, in 2009, Renault confirmed its commitment to bringing Alpine back to life.

The comeback became official in 2016 when Renault unveiled the Alpine Vision concept car in Monte Carlo, marking the start of a new era. A year later, in 2017, Alpine made its grand return with a production-ready version of the model, reigniting excitement among sports car enthusiasts worldwide.

Today, Alpine continues to blend performance, innovation, and French automotive passion, making it a name that stands strong in the world of high-performance vehicles.
